8 Channel Bi-Directional Logic Level Converter

Because the Arduino (and Basic Stamp) are 5V devices, and most modern sensors, displays, flash cards and modes are 3.3V-only, many makers find that they need to perform level shifting/conversion to protect the 3.3V device from 5V.This 8-bit noninverting translator uses two separate configurable power-supply rails. The A port is designed to track VCCA. VCCA accepts any supply voltage from 1.2 V to 3.6 V. The B port is designed to track VCCB. VCCB accepts any supply voltage from 1.65 V to 5.5 V. This allows for universal low-voltage bidirectional translation between any of the 1.2-V, 1.5-V, 1.8-V, 2.5-V, 3.3-V, and 5-V voltage nodes. VCCA should not exceed VCCB.

Q: Can i use the above product for serial communication (TTL) I i.e. one operation voltage is 3.3 volt and other is 5V.

    Dear Madam,

    It is compatible with serial data transmission, TXB0108 should not be used in applications such as I2C or 1-wire where an open drain driver is connected on the Bi-directional data I/O.

Q: In my last order when i had ordered one with 4 channel had i issue ,when i give a supply of 3.5 volt to one pin on the other side all the pins used to go up and i used to get 4.9v in all the pins. that's why i bought this product for 8 channel one and am not getting any output. Please help me.

    regarding 4 channel level converter , It is proper. Do not leave any of the input open ,if it is open respective out put remains high , make sure that input connected is either logical 0 (GND) or 1 (3.3/5v) . still you have problem kindly let us know .
